Country singer-songwriter Kane Brown earns his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as his second full-length studio effort, Experiment, bows in the top slot. The set, which was released on Nov. 9 via Zone 4/RCA Nashville, starts with 124,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 15, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 105,000 were in album sales.

Metro Boomin Tops the Charts

Metro Boomin has the number one album in the country this week.

The surprise set, which was announced Oct. 31 and released Nov. 2 via Boominati/Republic Records, earned 99,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 8, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 5,000 were in album sales, as the album was largely driven by streaming activity.

‘A Star is Born’ Tops the Charts, Again

The A Star is Born soundtrack is still the top selling album in the country:

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack holds steady at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for a third week, earning 109,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 25 (down 24 percent) according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 61,000 were in traditional album sales (down 30 percent).

‘A Star is Born’ Soundtrack Tops the Charts Again

Of the latest tracking week’s unit sum, 86,000 were in album sales — down 47 percent.

‘A Star is Born’ Tops the Charts

The set, which was released via Interscope Records on Oct. 5, starts with 231,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 11, according to Nielsen Music — the biggest week for a soundtrack in more than three-and-a-half years. Of Star’s overall starting sum, 162,000 were in album sales.

Twenty One Pilots came in second:

The set starts with 175,000 units, of which 135,000 are in album sales — the act’s biggest sales week ever (stepping past its previous high, logged when Blurryface sold 134,000 in its first week back in 2015).

That sum is the third-largest week for an album in 2018. Further, Tha Carter V also opens with the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album, with 433 million on-demand audio streams logged for its songs in its first week.
