Those who have worked closely with us or who have followed us throughout our 38 years know how dysfunctional we can be but we always managed to pull our shit together at just the right time.
This time around, the reality of being middle-aged, working class, not terribly relevant and not being able to bounce back from injuries and personal problems has become a weight just too great for us to bear and all signs finally point to retirement.

This is where you start to assume that this is The Color Morale announcing it’s break-up. When Steve and I started this band the goal was never to sell thousands of records, be on magazine covers, or even leave the midwest. The goal, along with the rest of my band mates was to have fun making art with my best friends. It always started there, in a garage across a field from a little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. In the middle of nowhere is exactly where you discover who and why you are. Within the expanse of that idea, The Color Morale could never break up. If it broke, it was only because it wasn’t ours anymore.

the band is officially broken up. i apologize for not posting this sooner but in all honesty this is the first chance that i’ve had. as far as reasoning goes, i felt that it was time to move on. there will be new music, new bands, and more touring in the near future… just not together and not as jamisonparker. i want to thank everyone who bought the album, stole the album, wore the shirts, came to shows, sent us emails, spread the word, and just allowed the music to become a part of your life. i can’t put into words how much i appreciate every day that you all helped this band stay alive. i can only hope to have that same support in the future.thanks again…. see you soon….
