Yeah. If you look at our career, there’s almost like before American Idiot and after American Idiot. Yeah, we play new stuff. We play stuff off American Idiot. It’s hard to explain from my perspective because sometimes I’ll just start saying to myself, “Look how unique this is. You’re able to play in front of 14,000 people and everyone is singing along. Everyone’s hands are in the air.” We play a song like “Holiday” and its like a flock of birds or something.
Green Day performed “Still Breathing” last night on Colbert.
Green Day Authority has posted up an unreleased Green Day instrumental from the band’s documentary.
This little surprise was hidden away in a bonus chapter on ¡Cuatro!, the band’s 2013 “rockumentary” movie that chronicled the recording process of the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! trilogy albums. The song is unofficially titled “That Just Happened” after the scene that contained it.

Jakob Danger, the son of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, has posted some new music on SoundCloud.
Chris Cheney of The Living End and Phil Jamieson of Grinspoon will be playing the lead cast members in the Australian run of the American Idiot musical.
The Aussie rockers will both take on the role of St Jimmy in the Brisbane shows, a role Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong performed on occasion throughout the musical’s North American run. Cheney will play the role from February 23rd to 26th and Jamieson will take over from February 28th.

Green Day’s “Still Breathing” has topped Billboard’s rock airplay charts.
The second single from the band’s 12th studio LP gains by 3 percent to 11 million audience impressions in the week ending Jan. 1, according to Nielsen Music. Lead single “Bang Bang” ruled the chart for three weeks beginning Oct. 22.
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day performed “Ordinary World” on Conan last night. A video of the performance can be found on Conan’s website.
