Season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm has begun shooting.
‘Fraggle Rock’ Coming to HBO
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fraggle Rock will be getting remastered and cleaned up to high-definition and will be re-released on HBO later this year:
“In remastering the series, illuminate has created a contemporary look for the series with meticulous attention paid to every detail — sharpening the images, cleaning up the contrast, increasing the vibrancy of the colors and re-formatting for wide-screen — all under the careful supervision of Brian Henson,” Richard Goldsmith, EVP of Global Distribution for The Jim Henson Company said in a statement. “We’ll engage a whole new audience who will love meeting the Fraggles, Gorgs, and Doozers.”
HBO Cancel ‘Vinyl’
HBO have canceled the series Vinyl after only one season.
Vinyl, which starred Bobby Cannavale as a 1970s record executive trying to save his company, opened to disappointing ratings for HBO. The two-hour series premiere averaged just 760,000 viewers in live-plus-same-day numbers. However, the show was quickly renewed for a second season no doubt due to its impressive auspices and hefty price tag. The two-hour Vinyl opener is said to have cost about $30 million and the first season $100 million.
‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Returning for New Season
HBO has confirmed that Curb Your Enthusiasm will return for a ninth season.
Asked why he decided to come back, David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”
The Godfather Epic
HBO is currently running a 7-hour long chronological version of The Godfather. You can catch it on their on demand services. If you haven’t seen the movies before this should not be the way you watch them for the first time, but for committed fans this is an interesting cut of the films.
