TMZ is reporting that MTV’s TRL is moving time slots and changing up the program, again:

A spokesperson says the show will be back in new “daily late night and morning shows this summer.” The rep adds the show’s been a huge success since its return.

I still don’t get why this show exists.

How Claire Evans Is Writing Women Back Into the Internet

Addie Wagenknecht interviewed Claire Evans, the author of the new book Broad Band: The Untold Story of the Women Who Made the Internet, for Forbes:

The easy thing is to say that Broad Band is a feminist history of the Internet. That’s what I’ve been telling people. Maybe it’s more accurate to say that it’s a history of the Internet told through women’s stories: boots-on-the-ground accounts of where the women were, how they were feeling and working, at specific, formative moments in Internet history. It emphasizes users and those who design for use, while many popular tech histories tend to zero in on the box

This book looks extremely in my wheelhouse. Can’t wait to read it.

Variety is reporting that Warped Tour’s final run will be filmed for a four-part series on the tour:

“The documentary that we’re putting together is really about the legacy of the tour,” director DJay Brawner tells Variety. “Of course, this year being the final year it’s important for us to capture moments from the culmination, but what we’re really trying to put together is a story about how the tour started and grew over the last 24 years, with all of it culminating with the final day and what that means for this team of people, the future of the brand and everything in between.

Gerard Way Begins Working on New Music

Gerard Way

Gerard Way will soon be working on new music:

Now, onto the music. It is far too early to have any kind of idea when new music will be coming out from me, or what it will be specifically. Would it be a solo record? A new band? Songs for the Netflix Umbrella Academy show? Something else? Again, too early to tell, but the process has started and happens every Friday at the moment. I’m in the discovery phase, and very excited about that. I’m off to make some sounds— see you soon!

Talinda Bennington Launches New Campaign in Honor of Chester

Linkin Park

Talinda Bennington, wife of Linkin Park’s late Chester Bennington, has launched a new campaign in honor of her husband:

The idea for 320 was born out of my personal experience and the recognition that we can do better to address the needs of those who are suffering with mental health concerns and addiction. For 13 years I watched my husband Chester struggle with depression and substance use. I often felt scared and alone. I was uneducated about the challenges he faced and I wanted information – but finding answers to my questions and available help for our family was very difficult.
