Today, Hayley Williams’ Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party jumps an impressive 161 spots, from #173 on the Billboard 200 to #12. Though her band Paramore has previously peaked at #1 on the chart, this marks an impressive feat for this solo album, which is entirely self-released. In the US, she also tops several other charts including #1 Independent Albums, #1 Vinyl Albums, #1 Indie Store Albums, #2 Top Album Sales, #2 Top Current Album Sales, #2 Rock & Alternative Albums, #2 Rock Albums and #2 Alternative Albums. In the UK, she jumps to an impressive #10 spot on the overall album chart and #1 in the UK for physical album sales. The album also hit the Top 20 in Australia and New Zealand this week. Last week, Hayley Williams announced her first ever solo tour - Good Dye Young Presents: Hayley Williams At A Bachelorette Party. Due to overwhelming demand during the pre-sale registration, numerous second and third nights were added across the entirety of the tour. All dates in the US, UK and EU sold out in minutes. The tour spans North America, the U.K. and Europe and features Water From Your Eyes across most dates, with Snuggle supporting in Milan and Cologne and Tiberius b added to London. On November 7th, the 68th annual GRAMMY nominations were announced, with Hayley Williams racking up an impressive four nominations. Her album was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, with nominations for songs “Parachute” in the Best Alternative Music Performance category, “Mirtazapine” in the Best Rock Performance category, and “Glum” in the Best Rock Song category. She has previously been nominated 5 times for her work in Paramore, with 3 wins including Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Performance in 2023. Ego Death is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year landing at #3 overall on Meta-Critic. Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party was produced entirely by Daniel James. Williams wrote, played and recorded a variety of instruments across each of the 20 songs, with cross-project contributions from long-time collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, and contributions from Jim-E Stack on “True Believer,” which just earned Williams her first soloBillboard Alternative Sales #1. After 20+ years spent fulfilling their contract for Atlantic Records - a contract Williams signed as a mere teenager - Paramore announced in December of 2023 that they were finally an independent band. This marks her first ever release outside of that contract for her own Post Atlantic Records (distributed by Secretly Distribution) Williams has released music videos for the album’s title track and “Parachute”, directed by Zachary Gray, and the single “Glum,” directed by her Paramore bandmate Zac Farro and AJ Gibboney. Earlier this month she gave a stirring performance of her song “True Believer” on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
