The Maine have released a new album, Dyed (2008-2023), on all streaming platforms.
On the eve of the fifth year of their very own music festival, The Maine took fans by surprise by sharing an unannounced album. dyed (2008 - 2023) features nine brand new tracks - pulled from the band’s past that spans their entire discography. Each new song was conceptualized from an old demo that never made a previous album - each one representing an era in the band’s career. Self-produced by vocalist John O’Callaghan, The Maine dove into their unreleased vault to record these tracks and assemble them in the form of a new compilation. “"Revisiting the past can stir up all sorts of feelings. Nostalgia, fondness, gratitude, and on and on and on. We felt everything in between when we uncovered these songs from over the last few decades, and sincerely hope they stir up anything of the sort for you while listening!" - John O'Callaghan The mid-week album drop comes unexpectedly to the band’s fans, many of whom are en route to Arizona this very week. The Maine will headline 8123 Fest happening this weekend at Mesa Amp on January 17th and 18th. The festival also features performances from The Starting Line, Charlotte Sands, Hellogoodbye, Bad Suns and more. Rounding out the two day festival includes a total takeover in the band’s hometown with the 8123 Pop Up Shop, afterparties, side shows, flash tattoos, an exclusive cider variant and local partnerships. The colors, along with the years listed in parenthesis within the song titles allude to the origins of each new track. Armed with brand new music in the form of an album alongside an air of nostalgia, The Maine are crashing full force into the new year with no signs of slowing down. 2025 promises to be another year for the band to continue to innovate and push boundaries eighteen years into their career. dyed (2008 - 2023) is available to stream or download across all digital platforms worldwide today.
