Blink-182 is currently number two in the in-museum “vote your choice” fan vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:
Since the start of the year, Blink-182 has led the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s in-museum “Voice Your Choice” fan vote. But a new contender has emerged.
Motley Crue overtook first place in the kiosk-driven voting this weekend. The popular ‘80s metal band has been surging since the release of “The Dirt” on Netflix in March.
Blink-182’s new single “Blame It on My Youth” is up on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. There’s also a lyric video.
I’ll have more thoughts on the song throughout the day, but first impressions are it’s good, I like that they’re mixing it up, and I’m pretty sure they worked with Tim Pagnotta and Sam Hollander on this one and it’s a great combo.
Blink-182 will release their new album’s debut single, titled “Blame it On My Youth,” tomorrow.

The Aftershock Festival has announced this year’s lineup. The festival will take place October 11th-13th at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA.
Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 did an Instagram Q&A and said the new Blink album will have ten songs.

Mark Hoppus talked with NME about the Fyre Festival disaster:
“It was pretty shocking,” Hoppus told NME of his first viewing of the documentary. “It was shocking but not entirely surprising. We had indications kind of early on that there were problems. Our production crew was having problems getting even the most basic of answers as to staging, power and things that you would normally have well in advance of the show. That being said, us and our crew have always prided ourselves on being able to put on a good show.
“If you give us electricity and a stage then we will do our best to put on a great show. We continued in good faith, the show got closer and closer. Travis [Barker, drums] doesn’t fly so he was going to have to get on a boat for several days to get there then our production crew just said, ‘I don’t think that this is going to happen, I think we should pull out now’. That’s when we issued our statement.”

Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth are on the latest episode of The Music Podcast. Mark confirms Blink-182 have written over 40 songs for their new album and Alex mentions that All Time Low have finished their little break and hope to have a new album out in 2020.
