Review: Holy Pinto – “Death Is In The Air”
The latest single from Aymen Saleh, better known as Holy Pinto, is bursting with raw emotion and painstaking detail in the songwriting process. Bartees Strange also contributes on “Death Is In The Air” by adding some well-placed guitars and synths to the mix. The track itself tackles the theme of searching for love, complete with all of the messy details that make this emotion so complex.
The song builds momentum as it sways from the cautious opening verse, to adding in more instruments in the chorus, while Saleh’s vocals remain consistently captivating in his delivery. The single takes the listener on an epic journey of lyrical twists and turns, all with a beating heart towards Holy Pinto’s self-discovery as an artist. The epic conclusion of the song features some well-placed hand claps and an Americana sound to keep interest high in this ultra-talented songwriter. Holy Pinto is back, and he is quickly re-cementing himself as a key artist to watch.

Today I’m happy to share the latest single from Holy Pinto, called “Malady.” This track comes from the latest trio of singles under the Holy Trinity record, and this track in particular reminds me of Interpol-inspired rock. The last song, called Acquaintances, Friends, Love Ends” was released in October, but the current single can be streamed below and it’s their best yet.

Review: Holy Pinto – Adult
The process of growing up and taking on more responsibilities, or “adulting,” takes different forms for everyone. While some may glide through young adulthood into full-fledged middle-aged freedom, many of us struggle to find our place in this crazy world we live in. On the sophomore record from Holy Pinto, Aymen Saleh does a great job of encapsulating all that goes into this transition from being a care-free kid to an adult.

Holy Pinto – “Daisychain” (Song Premiere)
Holy Pinto put out an EP last year but they’re already gearing up to release the new full-length, Adult. Today we’re excited to bring you an exclusive premiere of the record’s first single “Daisychain.” If you aren’t familiar with Holy Pinto’s sound, it feels a lot like the lively, poppy indie rock of early Tigers Jaw, and this song is a great display of that. It’s easily one of their best songs yet, and frontman Aymen Saleh had the following to say about it:
The song is about leaving home and the relationships you leave behind to travel and tour. It’s also a nostalgic look at my adolescence, secondary school and growing up. It came to me whilst driving to play at The Fest in Florida – I missed the wristband allocation hours and so the whole first day of the festival because I was parked over in some field in Georgia writing this!
