Today I’m thrilled to bring everyone the latest single from Tightwire called “I Need You Here Tonight.” The song comes from the Red Scare Industries split EP with fellow punk rockers Canadian Rifle, called Nietzsche EP. Tightwire’s singer, Tane, shared, “Canadian Rifle’s side of the split is really good! Funny story, I wrote ‘I Need You Here Tonight’ on the same day as ‘Anyone But You’ (song from previous LP), and it’s about the same person, but from the opposite perspective.” Tightwire is also gearing up to hit the road later on this month with Teenage Bottlerocket and The Drowns, with tour dates found below.

Starting a record label isn’t for the faint of heart. So much can go wrong, really fast, if you’re not equipped with the right people around you to make it thrive. Red Scare Industries has reliably introduced fans near and far to bands that they feel are worth their time, put on killer live shows, and have the musical chops to make you want to reach for that repeat button. While some various artists compilations are good for a spin or two to discover a new band every now and then, this particular collection of songs feels like a punk rock party that is sure to make you wonder just how Red Scare was able to pull this off.
