Riot Fest have announced they’re opening up a pop-up restaurant called “Riot Feast” for three months in Chicago:

We’re about to find out. We’ve joined forces with the team behind the immensely popular Saved By The Max pop-up diner to open The Riot Feast, a limited-time restaurant and bar in Chicago with Riot Fest-inspired family-style American bites in a turn-of-the-century carnival environment. Located at (1941 W. North Ave, Chicago), The Riot Feast opens on July 8th for a three-month run.

Riot Fest Announces First Wave of Bands

Riot Fest will be returning to Chicago’s Douglas Park this year from September 15th-17th. Today they’ve unveiled the first group of artists for the festival, and, damn, it’s got some heavy hitters. Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, and a Jawbreaker reunion are the headlining acts. The full list of artists can be found below.

As Riot Fest wraps up this year, I have one question: when is it not festival season? I feel as if we’ve transitioned into an era where festivals and big bills are the new trend. I’ve attended and photographed four “festivals” this year alone and Riot Fest was one of the more enjoyable to shoot. The festival was easy and accessible — which isn’t always the case.
