Zach Bryan Buys ‘On the Road’ Scroll

Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan purchased Jack Kerouac’s original On the Road manuscript for $12.1 million.

Previously owned by Jim Irsay, the iconic 120-foot typed scroll was offered as part of a major Christie’s auction that also included David Gilmour’s “Black Strat” and Jerry Garcia’s “Tiger” guitar. Irsay, the late owner of the Indianapolis Colts, originally purchased the On the Road manuscript in 2001 for $2.43 million, which at the time set a record for a literary work sold at auction.

Zach Bryan and Samantha Leonard were recently married.

A short video posted by the outlet appears to show Bryan carrying Leonard, both wearing sunglasses, to a convertible decked with “Just Married” bunting and the happy couple driving away. A rep for the artist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Zach Bryan Sets Concert Record

Zach Bryan made history this weekend by performing for the largest ticketed concert audience in US history.

The sold-out show packed about 112,000 fans inside Michigan Stadium for headliner Zach Bryan and openers John Mayer and Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone.

Public tickets for the concert sold out over the course of just two hours back in February. The 112,000 ticket sales set Saturday’s concert up to be the most-attended non-festival concert in North American history.
