Yes, we are giant nerds.

But this is still one of my favorite additions to the basement. A little representation of one of my favorite movies.

Lightsaber made by The Saber Factory and it came out amazing. Great detail. Love the customizations.

The weekend has gotten away from me and I still have a few things I need to do this evening, so I am not expecting to get to write a newsletter this week. However, I do want to plug this new Oversize album, Vital Signs, that came out on Friday. It's very shoegaze/grunge-y, but with a nice balance of melody and heavier moments. It gets a full throated recommendation. Listen: https://chorus.fm/share/alb...

Another month has come to an end.

February brought the cold. We saw snow. We saw “feels like” temperatures that were just cruel for the Pacific Northwest. But the last few days have seen the return of the sun.

Cats, records, beer. Not a bad month.

February 2025

I’ve wanted to pick up one of these signed handwritten lyric sheets from Ryan of Yellowcard for a while. When the latest shop opened up, I finally went for it. I picked a song that’s meant a whole lot to me over the years, “Back Home.” It’s a song that started as an anthem for a young me off in college and thinking about what I’d left behind. It’s now a song that makes me think about all I have right now, and how far I’ve come from being that silly kid running off to California.

I’m super happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to frame it for the office wall.
