Andrew McMahon has announced a new livestream on July 5th.
Ahead of a performance at Bonnaroo Music Festival this weekend, Andrew McMahon has announced fans will be able to catch his upcoming career-spanning solo show at London's 02 Academy Islington live from anywhere in the world when it streams exclusively on Veeps on July 5th. This special solo show will include songs from Andrew's time in Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, as well as an intimate look into the stories behind the songs from Andrew himself. Tickets for the exclusive livestream performance can be purchased today starting at 10 am PST/1 pm EST at https://andrewmcmahoninthewilderness.veeps.com for $16.99. The show can be viewed on Veeps.com and the Veeps app on iOS, Android, Roku and Apple TV. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the show as many times as they’d like for seven days following the stream. Fans will also have the option to donate to Andrew’s Dear Jack Foundation, benefiting adolescents and young adults (AYA) diagnosed with cancer, during the livestream. “We're excited to partner with Andrew on such a special event where fans will get a rare glimpse into the stories behind the songs that have touched so many lives, "said Sarah Minders, Head of Artist Relations at Veeps. “Bringing one-of-a-kind performances like this to global audiences is what we’re all about, and we can’t wait for fans worldwide to have a front-row seat to his 02 Academy performance”. His recent album, Tilt At The Wind No More, was produced by recent Grammy Award-winner Jeremy Hatcher (Harry Styles, Maggie Rogers, Lizzo) and Grammy-nominated Tommy English (Kacey Musgraves, K.Flay, Børns). It is a nostalgia-driven record, capturing McMahon at a turning point in life (celebrating his 40th birthday and 15th wedding anniversary, raising a daughter, working through past traumas in therapy, writing a memoir, and more) that simultaneously looks excitedly to the future. The album features 11 big-hearted songs – penned alongside co-writers including King Tuff, Sammy Witte (SZA, Harry Styles), Robopop (Weezer, Joy Oladokun), Luke Niccoli (Yves Tumor, Carly Rae Jepsen), and Gregg Wattenberg & Derek Furhman (Goo Goo Dolls, Five For Fighting) – that burst with joy and lessons learned. It received critical support from BrooklynVegan, Consequence, FLOOD Magazine, Alternative Press, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, E! News, Entertainment Tonight, idobi Radio and more.
