Nightmare of You Celebrate 20th Anniversary

Brandon Reilly

Nightmare of You have announced a 20th anniversary re-press of their debut album. And they’ve announced three shows.

Today, legendary New York-based independent rock label Equal Vision Records has launched the vinyl reissue pre-order for the 20th anniversary of Nightmare of You, the celebrated, self-titled album from the New York-based indie-rock band. Limited to 1000 total units, Nightmare of You — an 11-track collection of pure indie-pop bliss — is available in cloud grey pebble, grass green butter, black, blue/white sunburst and green sunburst via the Equal Vision Records store and across additional outlets and retailers. The band had the following to share about the brand new, limited edition vinyl reissue of Nightmare of You:

“We are delighted and honored to say that we are re-releasing our 2025 self-titled album on Equal Vision Records, securing Nightmare of You’s place in history alongside a long lineage of fearless artists and timeless records. As this coincides with us celebrating the album’s 20th anniversary through live shows, the moment feels even sweeter and truly full-circle.”

Rising out of the ashes of the Long Island punk revivalist band The Movielife, guitarist Brandon Reilly formed the melodic indie-rock group Nightmare of You in 2003 with a sound much more pop-oriented than his hardcore roots would initially suggest. Alongside vocalist/guitarist Reilly, Nightmare of You includes guitarist Joseph McCaffrey and drummer Sammy Siegler (ex-Rival Schools, Glassjaw). The band released its self-titled debut on its own East West imprint, The Bevonshire Label, in fall 2005. Subsequent touring was completed with the likes of AFI, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge and Head Automatica.

Nightmare of You will be making the following appearances in February to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut album. Dates below.
