The Maine have shared the new song “Parking Garage Song #5.”
The recording of Joy Next Door felt like a marathon as we spent months on end “perfecting” every song to create an album we are extremely proud of. During that process there was a tune we kept circling back to, that for whatever reason wouldn’t quite fully materialize even though we all felt it’s magic. The song spoke to what those obscure and ever-evolving four numbers in 8123 have meant to all of us for well over 20 years now. We were certain we couldn’t release it into the world until it was exactly how we heard it in our heads, so over the past few weeks on tour we finally realized and finished, “Parking Garage Song #5.” This is not “deluxe” or “bonus;” this is what we intended to create and share with the 8123 family. So without any further ado, THIS IS OUR TENTH STUDIO ALBUM, JOY NEXT DOOR.
