Chris Vuoncino has released the new book, Who Will Survive, inspired by the music of Murder by Death. The story of Jack, the Devil, and the small town that is forced to face their demons is now available for purchase in paperback and for the Kindle via Amazon.

The blurb for the book reads:

It’s late in the night at Bart’s Saloon, a seedy hangout on the outskirts of small town. The drinks are flowing, patrons are laughing and the Devil himself is at the center of attention. The night seems set to end without conflict until three gun shots ring out and leave the Devil a bloody mess, just a few steps from making his exit. Jack didn’t know he would be pulling the trigger when he entered the bar that night, but he felt justified in his actions as he made his way out the back door of Bart’s. What Jack could not have known, is that the Devil’s idea of revenge is far deeper, far crueler and more far fetched that anything he could imagine. One man’s actions will reverberate throughout a seemingly innocent town and everyone will be forced to fight off their demons, those which haunt them internally as well as externally.

The author received the blessing of the band in creating and publishing this story.

Sponsor: Isaiah Dominguez Releases New Album ‘Holy Ghost’

Isaiah Dominguez

With Holy Ghost, Isaiah Dominguez has taken personal experiences and packaged them in a way that seem strangely familiar. There is a familiar comfort in his choruses and a vague recollection of memories that align with his lyrics. Dominguez has markedly set himself apart from his past with this collection of songs and created a sound uniquely his own. His blend of nostalgic 80’s rock and contemporary alternative marry perfectly with his independent, solo-songwriter style. The record starts strong with a fist-pumping pop-rock staple and doesn’t let up until the last note rings. If you’re looking for an album that is equal parts “windows down, road trip” and “nostalgia inducing introspection,” Holy Ghost is an absolute gem to add to your playlist.

Check it out at Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play.

Isaiah Dominguez

In an era where so many bands are creating their 1975 sound-alike records, Isaiah Dominguez has found a way to marry an ambient, 80’s inspired ballad, with a modern alternative twist. His new single, “When I’m Gone,” gives listeners a ballad rife with lush chorus driven guitars while still staying true to himself. Describing the process, Isaiah said, “It was really important for me to sound like myself, no matter how much this track wanted to deviate to the ‘Spotify sound’.” The single was mixed by Rian Dawson (All Time Low/Track Happy Studios), and released on Evergreen Noise Records today. The song comes from the full-length album due out next week. The single’s pulsing bass line and ethereal instrumentals makes it an ideal late-night, mood-setting tune.

Stream the song on Apple Music, Spotify, or Google Play.

Isaiah Dominguez

On Friday Isaiah Dominguez released his new single “Used to Be.” The song comes from the upcoming album, Holy Ghost, due out June 28th via Evergreen Noise Records.

“Used To Be” is a marriage of dynamics and lyrical depth. While the choruses soar in a major key and echo a familiar sentiment, the verses reveal a darker, more introspective message. While the general structure and lyrics can be attributed to the growth of Isaiah Dominguez as a songwriter, the song really took flight with the production of Rian Dawson (All Time Low, Track Happy Studios) and the guest vocals of Dan Swank (Egocheck). Together, they created a deceptively catchy single, anchored by a “call and response” that is reminiscent of emo/pop-punk bands in the early aughts. Isaiah has always prided himself on being open and honest in his lyrics, but this song seems even more vulnerable than before. This combination paves the way for an edgier take on the “singer/songwriter” genre. The result is a tune you’ll want to crank the volume and roll down the windows for.

The song is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play.
