Pop Smoke has the number one album in the country:
Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album, Faith, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, garnering the rapper his second leader. The guest-laden collection was released on July 16 and starts with 88,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending July 22, according to MRC Data.
Olivia Rodrigo is back at the top of the charts this week:
Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a second total week, as the album steps 3-1 in its fifth week on the list. It earned 105,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending June 24 (down 14%), according to MRC Data. The album debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated June 5.
Polo G has the number one album in the country this week:
Polo G lands his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as Hall of Fame opens atop the tally, earning 143,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 17, according to MRC Data. All three of the rapper’s charting albums have reached the top 10.
Paramore’s 2007 album Riot! reaches the top 10 of Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart for the first time, thanks to a new pressing on silver colored vinyl.
The set re-enters the chart dated June 12 at No. 8 with 7,000 copies sold in the U.S. in the week ending June 3 (up 1,380%), according to MRC Data, nearly all from sales of the new vinyl edition. Riot! had previously debuted and peaked at No. 20 on the June 30, 2007-dated chart. The album was issued on silver colored vinyl on May 28 as part of the Fueled by Ramen record label’s ongoing 25th-anniversary festivities.
Taylor Swift once again has the number one album in the country:
Taylor Swift’s Evermore returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a fourth nonconsecutive week on top, as the set vaults 74-1 with 202,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 3 (up 1,709%), according to MRC Data. Of that sum, album sales comprise 192,000 (up 8,307%) — marking the biggest sales week of 2021. It surpasses the previous largest sales week of the year, when Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) sold 179,000 in its first week (chart dated April 24).
Olivia Rodrigo has the number one album in the country this week:
Olivia Rodrigo captures the biggest week of 2021 for an album, as her debut release, Sour, opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 295,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 27, according to MRC Data.
Sour also launches with the second-largest streaming week ever for a non-R&B/hip-hop album, and second-biggest for an album of any genre by a female artist.
J. Cole has the number one album in the country this week:
J. Cole’s The Off-Season barges in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 2021’s biggest week for a hip-hop release, as the set launches with 282,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 20, according to MRC Data. The Off-Season was released via Dreamville/Roc Nation/Interscope on May 14 and also scores the year’s largest streaming week for any album.
Moneybagg Yo has the number one album in the country this week:
It’s a quiet week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as Moneybagg Yo’s A Gangsta’s Pain returns to No. 1 while no albums debut in the top 10 for the first time in two months.
A Gangsta’s Pain rises 2-1 in its third week, after earning 61,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending May 12 (down 12%), according to MRC Data. The album debuted atop the chart dated May 8 with 110,000 units.
Moneybagg Yo has the number one album in the country this week:
After notching four earlier top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, rapper Moneybagg Yo earns his first No. 1 as his latest effort, A Gangsta’s Pain, debuts atop the tally.
The 22-track set was released on April 23 via CMG/N-Less/Interscope and earned 110,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending April 29, according to MRC Data. Nearly all of that total is powered by streaming activity.
Taylor Swift once again has the number one album in the country:
More than 12 years after Taylor Swift notched her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in 2008 with her second studio set Fearless, she’s back atop the list with a re-recorded version of the album, titled Fearless (Taylor’s Version). The new set is her ninth No. 1 and scores the biggest week of 2021 for any album. It launches with 291,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 15, according to MRC Data.
Justin Bieber has the number one album this week:
Justin Bieber’s Justice returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated April 17), scoring its second nonconsecutive week atop the list – and becomes his first multi-week No. 1 album since 2010.
