Bandcamp has updated their policy page with how tariffs will impact their customers. From an email sent out today:

Significant changes are coming to global tariffs (import taxes imposed by a government) that may impact how packages enter the United States.

In practice, this means fees may be applied to some types of merchandise on US-bound shipments, and some Bandcamp sellers may choose to temporarily pause shipments to the US.

Also, several international postal carriers are temporarily suspending delivery to the US. These restrictions do not come from the artists or labels but from global carriers.

Bandcamp:

On February 7th, from midnight to midnight PST, Bandcamp will donate 100% of its proceeds to MusiCares to aid those affected by the devastating Southern California wildfires. MusiCares provides critical support to the music community, offering mental health counseling, addiction recovery, health services, housing assistance, and more during times of crisis. 

The Verge:

In an email to The Verge, Songtradr confirmed that 50 percent of Bandcamp employees have been extended offers to join Songtradr and reaffirmed from a previous statement the company’s commitment to keeping the Bandcamp experience the same.

Songtradr’s statement also confirmed that its purchase of Bandcamp had been completed, but it did not confirm if it would voluntarily recognize Bandcamp’s union that employees won earlier this year, despite pressure from employees and the Bandcamp community.

The union has responded.

However, behind the scenes we’re working with Epic to expand internationally and push development forward across Bandcamp, from basics like our album pages, mobile apps, merch tools, payment system, and search and discovery features, to newer initiatives like our vinyl pressing and live streaming services
