Adele will be performing at the Grammy awards.
First Performers Announced for 59th Grammys
Metallica, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban have been announced to perform at the Grammys.
Taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Additional performers will be announced shortly.
2017 Grammy Nominees Announced
The full list of 2017 Grammy nominees has been announced. Some notable nominees: Blink-182, Panic! at the Disco, and Weezer are up for “best rock album,” Twenty One Pilots were nominated for quite a bit, and Bon Iver, Radiohead, and David Bowie are all nominated for “best alternative album.”
Streaming Only Now Eligible For Grammys
The Grammys have announced that streaming only projects will now be eligible for the awards ceremony.
Works must be released via general distribution, defined as the nationwide release of a recording via brick and mortar, third-party online retailers, and/or applicable digital streaming services. Applicable streaming services are paid subscription, full catalogue, on-demand streaming/limited download platforms that have existed as such within the United States for at least one full year as of the submission deadline.
