Warped Tour’s Final Run to Be Filmed for Four-Part Series

Warped Tour

Variety is reporting that Warped Tour’s final run will be filmed for a four-part series on the tour:

“The documentary that we’re putting together is really about the legacy of the tour,” director DJay Brawner tells Variety. “Of course, this year being the final year it’s important for us to capture moments from the culmination, but what we’re really trying to put together is a story about how the tour started and grew over the last 24 years, with all of it culminating with the final day and what that means for this team of people, the future of the brand and everything in between.

Say Anything Sign with Dine Alone Records

Say Anything have signed with Dine Alone Records and will be releasing their new Will Yip produced album later this year. Brooklyn Vegan has the following quote from Max Bemis:

It is surreal to have a new home for Say Anything. It’s been a minute since that’s been the case and I’m totally excited that we’ll now be working with the wonderful Dine Alone Records. I’ve been a fan of the label for a long time and am full on stoked to release our new Will-Yip-produced LP with them. The record is a bit different from the last one (blah blah as always) and is going to be an involved, weird organism, but one I am glad to entrust to Dine Alone. If you’re in Texas come see us play with our (OMG) labelmates …..And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead to celebrate the occasion.

Sponsor: Pylons Release Their New Album

Pylons

Pylons’ sophomore album, Macro Eye Close Up, rips its name right from the center of the first song on the record, “Page Torn Down the Middle.” At under twenty minutes, the album manages to hone in on consistent stability, and an expansive sound, panning out and pulling in from an array of influences. Teetering somewhere on the brink of punk, alternative and rock ‘n’ roll, the dual vocal band utilizes their female/male fronted dynamic to give their listeners something both refreshing and reminiscent. Macro Eye Close Up earns itself upon the initial listen, and each and every one that will inevitably follow.

You can check them out on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes.
