Following in the footsteps of fellow CHVRCHES band member Lauren Mayberry, who released a solo record called Vicious Creature during the band’s hiatus, Martin Doherty and longtime drummer of CHVRCHES Jonny Scott have created their own project known as The Leaving. Ultimate Buzz lives up to its name in more ways than one on The Leaving’s debut, as it creates a ton of hype around this project that quietly stormed onto the music scene with the singles of “Pray” and “Saved.” Fans of the main project of CHVRCHES will be immediately enamored with what Doherty and Scott have crafted with The Leaving on Ultimate Buzz. It’s an album that features thrilling and uplifting vocals, great professional production, and the incorporation of non-programmed drums gives the record a nice punch to it. Doherty leans on his extensive experience as a key contributor and co-vocalist in CHVRCHES to make an incredible artistic statement with The Leaving’s Ultimate Buzz.

Chad Gilbert Talks With People

Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory talked with People about his battle with cancer:

Through it all, he remains grateful. “Again, I got my dream in my family, and to have done so many things creatively,” Gilbert says. “We wanted to write songs and music that would inspire people, everyday people who could relate. What’s crazy is through this journey, to this part of my life … as painful as it is, I’m able to inspire people who are going through really tough things in their lives.”

Today I’m so excited to bring everyone the video premiere of the new single from Alt-Rock trio, Gooseberry, called ”Durak.” On this song that is drawing comparisons to bands like Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes, the Brooklyn-based band have made another song worthy of any playlist. The single comes from the band’s recently announced new LP, Simple Sucker, that will be released everywhere you stream your music on September 25th. I was also able to connect with Gooseberry for a brief interview below.

Goldstate – “Blessing In Disguise” (Song Premiere)

Today is a great day to share the latest single from British pop-punk band, Goldstate, for their song called “Blessing In Disguise.” Having signed to Manic Kat Records along with the release of “Deep End” in February, this track is an introspective helping of melancholy, emboldened by the band’s vibrant hooks and sonic potency. On the new output, lead vocalist Ben Pritchard shares: “’Blessing In Disguise’ is a track about lost love, but not in the way you expect it to be.
