March 30, 2021 (New York, NY) - Photo Finish Records today announces the celebration of their 15th year as a label. As they kick it off in extraordinary fashion, this successful and impactful label founded by Matt Galle and led by him and Mike Marquis continues to make indie magic in a major label way. Coming off of their biggest success story with SHAED’s “Trampoline” and the upcoming release of their debut full LP along with multiple new signings, Photo Finish is poised for another successful year in 2021. Founder of PFR, Matt Galle says, “Our 15th year feels like our biggest year since we have so many great artists and releases coming in 2021! I'm so proud of the roster we’ve built and I still get up in the morning excited for what the day will bring. We have accomplished so much and I look forward to what the future will bring.” In marking this milestone, they welcome back 3OH!3 and Marian Hill to the label. 3OH!3’s 2008 debut album "Want" is certified Gold with 3 platinum singles and includes collaborations with Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Lil' Jon, Gucci Mane, and KE$HA. They recently released their new single “LAST BREATH” on what was affectionately dubbed, 3OH!3 day on March 3rd. Marian Hill’s debut album “Act One” in 2015 made big waves across multiple radio formats and featured breakthrough Double Platinum hit "Down", which led to the band gracing the stages of major festivals. They will release a new record as part of the label’s 15th year. As the label expands, they are excited to announce a new partnership with alternative rock mainstays, The Maine, who have amassed over 600 million streams across their catalog. The band just released their first single, “Sticky” from their 8th studio albumXOXO: From Love And Anxiety In Real Time which is due out July 9, 2021. In addition, Photo Finish also announces that they’ve signed Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Ross Copperman and solo artist CAL, formerly of the band Timeflies. Mike Marquis says, “It’s incredible what The Maine has accomplished over the last decade as independent artists. They are thoughtful, hard-working, and put their fans first. Having them partner with us was a natural fit and serendipitous that it is happening in the 15th year of us being independent.” With a small but mighty seven-person team located in NYC, Photo Finish Records along with distribution partner Virgin Music, have operated independently with the push and power of a major. Both Matt Galle and Mike Marquis came to this venture with long relationships in the touring and agency world. They applied that energy to the long-term vision for Photo Finish which has paid off. “It’s a special feeling that our 15th year also feels like our biggest year. We have so many great artists and releases coming in 2021 and celebrating will include the work we do daily for our artists. I am very proud of our team and look forward to many more years together.” adds Marquis. The label boasts an incredible success story with the band SHAED, who they developed from the ground up. Their song "Trampoline" was the #1 Alternative song on the radio in 2019 and hit highs of #4 Pop, #3 Hot AC, and #1 Dance at radio. The song is Double Platinum in the US and has reached those heights and beyond internationally, where the remix of the song featuring ZAYN doubled down on its success. In addition to powerful signings, creative marketing, and great relationships at radio, collaborations have always been an integral part of Photo Finish’s success. They’ve worked with iconic artists across many genres in that area and have created collaborations with 2 Chainz, Ad-Rock, Big Sean, Chino Moreno, Jauz, Nate Ruess, Snoop Dogg, and T-Pain among many others. As part of the 15th year anniversary, PFR has spotlighted those collaborations with the creation of their SPOTIFY playlist entitled, PHOTO FINISH RECORDS, 15 Years of Collaboration, pointing to the many successful musical collaborations they have overseen and their spirit of collaboration as a label. The celebration will include more collaborations throughout the year and yet-to-be-announced moments and content from past and current artists and partners. The label’s co-heads, Matt Galle and Mike Marquis are well-known and respected leaders in the music industry, having both been recognized in Billboard’s 40 under 40.
