My thanks to Iridescent for sponsoring the website this week. The band will be releasing their debut double album, Dreams in Black and White, on Halloween (this upcoming Monday). A good track to get an idea for the band’s sound is “This Moment,” which is up on Bandcamp right now.

Iridescent

Iridescent’s debut double album, Dreams in Black and White, will be released next Monday on Halloween. The record is separated between the “White” album — a melodic, softer, and lyrically introverted album, and the “Black” album — a heavier, syncopated, and lyrically extroverted collection. The idea is a musical ode to yin and yang. The album was three years in the making and is for fans of Circa Survive, Radiohead, NIN, Depeche Mode and 30 Seconds to Mars. A good track to get an idea for the band’s sound is “This Moment,” which is up on Bandcamp right now.

The album carries a moonlight ambiance and that’s one of the reasons the band picked Halloween as their release date.

I’m starting to book up our advertising, news feed, and podcast sponsorship spots for the rest of 2016. If you’ve got a product, service, or anything like that you’d like to put in front of our audience, please get in touch. Our feed sponsorships have been doing really well over the past month, and I’ve lowered our prices for a limited time to try and book up the rest of the year.

Thanks again to everyone that clicks on our sponsors and ends up checking them out — it’s been extremely rewarding to pass along the metrics and numbers to our sponsors at the end of their campaigns knowing just how many people they’ve reached and have checked them out (even without multiple autoplaying videos taking up your entire screen).

Too Close to Call

Lexington, KY band Too Close To Touch’s sophomore album, Haven’t Been Myself, is now available. Recently nominated for “Best Underground Band” at the Alternative Press Music Awards, Too Close To Touch again teamed up with producer Erik Ron (Issues, Set It Off) in the making of their new album. Throughout the album, the band builds a heavy tension with their urgent rhythms and impassioned guitar work, then obliterates that tension with each explosive chorus.

Catch Too Close To Touch on The Retrograde tour this fall with Crown The Empire, Bless The Fall, News Years Day, and Light Up The Sky. For more information, visit their website, and check out the tour dates below.

Every Time I Die

Every Time I Die released their new album, Low Teens, yesterday. I think you should definitely check it out if you haven’t yet. Every Time I Die are one of those bands that every time I listen to I realize how much I enjoy, but I always forget when talking about bands with the best catalogs. Anyway, this album is no doubt up there with the best the band have done — and you should give it a listen. My sincere thanks to the band and Epitaph Records for sponsoring the website this week, it means so much to me to see bands I love and respect working with us.

Every Time I Die will be on tour this fall with Beartooth, Fit For a King, and Old Wounds. Tickets are on sale now and all the dates can be found below.

Every Time I Die

Every Time I Die have been forging their own musical path for their 18+ years as a band. Keith Buckley (vocals), Andy Williams (guitar), Jordan Buckley (guitar), Daniel Davison (drums), and Steve Micciche (bass) continued this history when they recorded their upcoming album, Low Teens, with producer/engineer Will Putney (Acacia Strain, Body Count, Exhumed). Low Teens is the band’s most poignant and impassioned album in a career full of sardonic illuminations and pit-inciting fervor. Low Teens will be released on September 23rd, 2016. Make sure you’ve got it pre-ordered.

Touche Amore

A huge thank you to Touché Amoré and Epitaph Records for sponsoring the website this week. The band just released their epic new album, Stage Four, and you should definitely be giving that a listen this weekend. I feel like this is one of those albums that hits you almost immediately with its emotional weight and then over time expands until you just can’t get it off your mind. I find myself thinking about these songs even when I’m doing other things. It’s powerful.

Check below for the band’s upcoming tour dates.

Touche Amore

Stage Four is the new album from the Los Angeles band Touché Amoré, and the title is an emblem of a band both living its dream and marred by loss. It comes out this Friday, September 16th and can be pre-ordered right now.

Formed in Burbank, California, across 2007 and 2008, the band’s urgent sound, with its melodic sonic assault and impassioned vocals, has grown tighter and more refined through a trio of full-length albums and a series of EP’s and releases. Since those early days, lead singer Jeremy Bolm, guitarists Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens, bassist Tyler Kirby, and drummer Elliot Babin have created a trajectory for themselves through hard work and dedication. And now with Stage Four, their fourth and biggest album to date, they are cementing their status as one of punk music’s most talented, relatable, and visceral acts.

This Wild Life will release their new album Low Tides on September 9th. Pre-orders are available right now. Their new album shows the duo taking their songwriting to the next level by fleshing out ten tracks with expanded arrangements and inventive instrumentation. In other words, it isn’t as much a reinvention as it is a progression and one that’s as memorable as they come.
