Toto will be covering Weezer’s “Hash Pipe” in the near future:
Toto drummer Steve Porcaro told KROQ, “You know, we listened to ‘Beverly Hills.’ I wanted to maybe even do a real ‘Africa’-type version of that, I was thinking about for a minute. But you know what? We wanted to make it different, but we wanted to do something rock ‘n’ roll. I wanted to show everyone what a good rock ‘n’ roll band we can be. I love the band. I love their music. [Lead singer] Joseph [Williams] and I were listening to different ones trying to figure out which ones he’d like to sing and we settled on ‘Hash Pipe.’”

MxPx released a new album this week and it’s really good. Seriously! I like it, longtime and more casual fans are talking about how much they like it in our forums, and it’s something you should check out. It’s got this youthful energy to it that feels like a throwback to the late 90’s while also being fresh and just fun. You can tell the band had a blast making this one.
Check it out now on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon, YouTube, or wherever you stream your music. Vinyl and CDs can be bought directly from the band themselves at MxPx.com.
