Drake’s Views is once again the number one album this week. Beyoncé was number two, Meghan Trainor came in at three, and Pierce the Veil are number four.
Rock band Pierce the Veil claims its highest charting album ever, and best sales week yet, as Misadventures bows at No. 4 with 54,000 units (50,000 in traditional album sales). The group’s previous largest week came when its last album, 2012’s Collide With the Sky, launched at No. 12 with 27,000 sold.
Cymbals Eat Guitars will release their new album, Pretty Years, on September 2nd. The first single “Wish” is streaming below.
Brand New have sent out another typed press release through Procrastinate! Music Traitors. You can find the full thing below, but the main information is that an album is coming, no date is given, and that the band will release another single from it this summer.
Thrice premiered “Death From Above” on BBC1 this morning.
This week sees the release of Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman and Saosin’s Along the Shadow, two albums that couldn’t be further apart but I greatly enjoy.
