Bob Dylan Launching New Whiskey

Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan has launched a new line of whiskey called “Heaven’s Door.” He sat down to talk with The New York Times about the project:

“We both wanted to create a collection of American whiskeys that, in their own way, tell a story,” Mr. Dylan said in a statement to The New York Times. “I’ve been traveling for decades, and I’ve been able to try some of the best spirits that the world of whiskey has to offer. This is great whiskey.”

The Simpsons Become Longest Running Scripted TV Show

Michael Cavna, writing at The Washington Post:

With that in mind, it only seems fitting that “The Simpsons” draws upon both principles to dramatize its act of taking down “Gunsmoke” as the new sheriff of television. Foxera

My thanks for Foxera for sponsoring the website this week. Foxera just released a new video for their song “Memories” featuring Tilian Pearson on vocals. I read multiple people in our forums talking about how this was one of their favorite songs Tilian’s been featured on in years. So, that already makes this worth checking out, but if you think you’ve got some vocal chops yourself, the band is also currently looking for a new singer. They plan to record a collection of songs with producer Taylor Larson (Periphery, I See Stars, Veil of Maya, Asking Alexandria) in the near future and are searching for “the voice of their band.”

Curious for more information? Check out their website.

Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer

It’s been more than ten years since Janelle Monáe launched her first project. She has since been identified by her unique sound. Being from a hard-working family and a musically bland city, she has always highlighted the under-appreciated and the outsider with her lyrics. Incorporating an unbelievable range of musical influences, she continues to innovate her own unique sound with her friends in the Wondaland Arts Society – a musical collective of rising artists she oversees. Prior to Dirty Computer, she’s been nominated for six Grammy Awards, of which she won none. However, Janelle’s consistency is a reminder of why this is a promising project.
