A jury in a high-stakes antitrust trial found Wednesday that Live Nation and its subsidiary Ticketmaster illegally maintained monopoly power in the ticketing market.
Jurors delivered the verdict in federal court in New York City after around five weeks of trial, which featured testimony from dozens of witnesses. The jury began deliberating Friday.

Spotify and the three major label groups have been awarded a nine-figure copyright judgment against the pirate library Anna’s Archive — though at least for now, the victory is largely symbolic as the site is anonymously operated.

RUSSELL: How do you address the tension between wanting to make really horny music as we’re becoming really puritanical as a culture?
MASKIN: That is the thesis of the record.
MCPHERSON: I don’t think we can begin to address it because we’re in it. The only thing that we can try to do is present that cognitive dissonance in the piece. It’ll only become clear to us really what it really means years from now. But the record is about feeling this incredible amount of untapped frustration, horniness, or romantic longing, but under the dark cloud of the moment that we’re living in.

The fifth studio album from Broadside, called Nowhere, At Last, is a great mix of styles that the band has tinkered with over the past few efforts. Into The Raging Sea marked a dramatic, and darker turn in the band’s sound, while Broadside’s previous album of Hotel Bleu found them painting with broad and colorful strokes. Nowhere, At Last seems most comfortable brooding in the darkness, as marked by the color aesthetic used in the album cover art and their recent music videos.
