Run the Jewels have released a new video for “Love Again.”
Chorus TV: Real Friends
Real Friends’ recent “$5 Tour” gave fans a unique opportunity to see this young and blossoming group in intimate environments they have long since outgrown. From skate parks to record stores, the band gave back to their supporters and local scenes across the country by performing at small venues with tickets priced at just five bucks. I filmed their stop at an oversold VFW hall in middle-of-nowhere Upton, Massachusetts. They mentioned several times how supportive our state has been since they first started touring, so it was no surprise to learn that we had one of the most rambunctious crowds of the tour. I hope you enjoy the highlights of the band performing “Late Nights in My Car” and “I Don’t Love You Anymore.”

New Green Day Album This Fall?

Kanye West and TIDAL Exclusively Sued
A man in San Fransciso is suing Kanye West and TIDAL for fraudulently claiming that the artist’s new album, The Life of Pablo, would be available exclusively on the service.
“We fully support the right of artists to express themselves freely and creatively, however creative freedom is not a license to mislead the public,” Baker-Rhett’s attorney Jay Edelson wrote in a statement. “We believe that we will be able to prove to a jury that Mr. West and Tidal tricked millions of people into subscribing to their services and that they will ultimately be held accountable for what they did.”
The Billboard 200 (Week Ending April 14th)
The Lumineers have their first number one album on the Billboard 200. Deftones appear at number two with 71,000 copies sold (69,000 pure album sales).
Chris Stapleton’s Traveller dips 2-3 with 48,000 units (down 34 percent), while Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo descends 1-4 with 47,000 units (down 50 percent). The album fell 95 percent in traditional album sales, falling from a 28,000 start to a little more than 1,000 copies sold. (Much of its first week sales were bolstered by pre-orders not delivered until after the album saw a wide release on April 1. Those pre-orders were sold as part of a ticket/album bundle to his Yeezy 3 fashion show held at Madison Square Garden and screened via a live stream in movie theaters. The remaining sales were from Tidal and West’s official website.)

I talked with our friends at the Hard Rock Online Rock Shop and we’re going to keep the pre-order up for the second edition of our AP.net commemorative logo pin for another week. Thanks so much to everyone that’s picked one up so far, we’ve sold way more than I think anyone was expecting, and it’s pretty damn amazing. If you’d like one of the gold versions of the pins — make sure to get your order in.
Review: Deftones – Gore
It’s been well-documented how tumultuous the nearly 30 year career of Sacramento rock band Deftones has been. From the tragic loss of original bassist Chi Cheng, to the in-fighting, to the passive approach the band took to recording their mid-2000’s records – it’s somewhat remarkable that Deftones didn’t break up years ago. Instead, the band has unleashed Gore, their most fascinating release since 2001’s breakthrough White Pony.
Moose Blood – “Honey”
